Alexandria, Egypt
November 30 - December 1 2005

On November 30 and December 1, 2005, the International Youth Foundation and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina co-hosted the first Education and Employment Alliance (EEA) Summit in Alexandria, Egypt. The purpose of the meeting was to bring together representatives from USAID, local NGOs and private sector companies to review progress and share ideas across the six participating EEA countries. More than fifty participants gathered for the two days. Discussions took place on approaches to promoting education and employment for youth, formulating and advancing implementation strategies, and building relationships with colleagues. Overall, participants appreciated the opportunity to share experiences and plan for future EEA activities. More
