EEA Morocco

EEA Morocco

Our Approach

EEA Morocco's approach is two-fold. First, it supports innovative projects in life skills, teacher training, IT education and entrepreneurship. Second, it engages businesses to expand corporate social responsibility.

We work according to three principles: Partnership, Relevance and Support.

Partnerships
To achieve our mission, we work on the premise of shared responsibility and shared benefits. Working together, EEA Morocco partners support innovative pilot programs with, and for young people while engaging businesses in improving education and training for youth. Alliance partners provide grants, technical assistance, training, curricula, contacts and other resources.

EEA Morocco is an alliance in several respects. At the national level, EEA is led by a Steering Committee that includes Morocco's leading business associations, NGOs, foundations and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). In addition, within this Steering Committee is a network of local alliances between partners from the private and public sectors that are created through MEEA projects and activities. As new partners join, EEA's impact grows, making a difference in the lives of more and more young people across Morocco. For more, click here

Relevance

Harnessing the willingness of employers to invest in their workforce is a critical part of EEA's approach in Morocco. Employers will benefit because EEA projects help complement the academic and technical skills of new employees with other important life skills such as the ability to work in teams, take initiative and responsibility, and think critically and problem solve.

Teamwork, initiative and problem solving are crucial to the competitiveness of Morocco's large, medium and small enterprises in a globalized economy. Morocco, like the other five countries in the EEA program, faces these same challenges. Thus, EEA Morocco supports local alliances that introduce innovative approaches to developing the relevant skills, attitudes and behaviors needed in the 21st Century workplace. In EEA Morocco, the business community is invited to participate in corporate social responsibility workshops and studies organized by EEA Morocco. In addition, Alliance Partners feel that MEEA in general, and youth in particular, benefit from the insights and recommendations of practitioners who are leaders in their respected fields.
